Just step outside to enjoy the spring fed crystal clear Sherman Lake and all the swimming, boating and fishing you can fit into your vacation. Visit nearby Lake George, Six Flags Great Escape, Saratoga Springs and Fort Ticonderoga all just minutes away. Hike the local trails or challenge yourself to the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains. Enjoy playing board games in the enclosed porch while watching the sunset over the lake. Accommodations include a master bedroom with a queen bed and sliding door to the deck. A second bedroom has a queen bed and bunk beds to sleep 4. Large eat in kitchen has gas range, refrigerator and microwave as well as a Keurig coffee maker. The living room offers a futon for additional bed, a wicker chair. rocker and Franklin stove. There is a 19" TV/VCR with DVD player and shelves full of board games, puzzles and books.The bathroom offers a stall shower, toilet and single vanity. The enclosed porch overlooks the glasslike lake with a sofa, loveseat, table and chairs. The large deck includes a gas grill, picnic table and chairs. There is a large enclosed outdoor hot shower and of course a fire pit for campfires and S'mores! A long dock leads out into the lake with a float for sunbathing and jumping in the water. We offer a row boat, canoe and paddle boat with 6 adult and 5 child life jackets available. Fly fishing is excellent in nearby Schroon River. There is a landline and cell service but no Wi-Fi or cable. The kitchen and bedrooms have electric baseboard heat. Dirt roads leading into the cabin prepare you for a relaxing vacation. Cars with higher clearance advised.
Nearby Warrensburg (I-87 exit 23) offers a Price Chopper market and a large health center with urgent care 7 days a week.
Golf and fine dining is available just to the east at The Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing.
Come for the 4th of July for fireworks on the lake and the annual decorated boat parade.
Enjoy the weekly rodeo just across the lake at Ridin' Hy Ranch or horseback riding at one of the many Dude Ranches in the area. Just down the road towards Bolton Landing is Adirondack Extreme Adventure Course for those with a wild side.
Saratoga Springs to the south offers horse racing in August and entertainment at Saratoga Performing Arts Center throughout the summer..
